Eric A. Weiss, MD

Eric A Weiss, MD is board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Weiss earned his Doctor of Medicine at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He completed General Surgery Residencies at the University of California, San Francisco and at the University of California, Davis-East Bay. Dr. Weiss performed a Residency in plastic surgery at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Weiss is a Veteran of the United States Military. He served as a Commander and Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Weiss is distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Greater Jacksonville Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
Throughout his career, Dr. Weiss has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including:
- 1992 Arthur J. Hunnicutt Award for Outstanding Resident
- 1991 Arthur J. Hunnicutt Award for Outstanding Resident
- Julius R. Krevens Award for Clinical Excellence
- Sandy Black Memorial Award-- Bestowed to a senior who demonstrates promise of outstanding contribution to medicine
- Magna Cum Laude Graduate with Special Attainments in Chemistry, Phi Beta Kappa
Volunteer work: “Hands Healing Hearts” annual medical missions to South America to perform reconstructive surgery for children with birth defects.
